Two girls attending California Lutheran High School in Riverside, Calif. were expelled from their school because administrators believed they had a romantic relationship.
Is that legal?
The girls’ families sued under the California Unruh Civil Rights Act, which prevents for-profit businesses from arbitrarily discriminating against customers.

A U.S. District Court judge told Californians that the sun must shine on ballot measures as a federal judge denied a request yesterday to allow the donors to the Yes on Prop 8 campaign to remain anonymous.
