Is This A Good Idea?

The Portland City Council voted yesterday to approve a 2.8 percent pay raise for non-represented employees, including all city commissioners and the mayor.

2.8 percent is not lavish. It’s a cost of living increase only. But, at the same time the city  is stocked with stories of layoffs and downsized small business.
