August 28th, 2009 at 2:45 pm by Amanda Schurr · No Comments

Arts organizations from around the city will gather from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. tomorrow for an outdoor festival of performances, classes and workshops.

Did we mention it was free?

Fall.ART.Live is your sneak peek at the upcoming arts season.

The bill includes performances by Bouand Dance, Josie Moseley Dance, Linda Austin Dance, Metro Dancers, Northwest Professional Dance Project, Oregon Ballet Theatre, The Oregon Ballet Theatre Apprentice Program, Polaris Dance, The Portland Ballet, The Portland Opera and Trueheart Productions.

Do Jump!, Fuse Theatre Ensemble, Jaynathi Raman, Oregon Ballet Theatre and Portland Actor’s Conservatory will also offer classes — again, completely free.

And reps from local organizations, including Hand2Mouth Theatre, Miracle Theatre, Mississippi Studios, The Oregon Cultural Trust, The Oregon Symphony, Portland Center Stage and White Bird Dance will also be on-site to promote the fall arts season and sell performance tickets.

The shebang goes down at the Oregon Ballet Theatre Studios (818 SE Sixth Avenue), on the east end of the Morrison Bridge between SE Belmont and Morrison.

As far as bang for your [non]bucks goes, this one’s a no-brainer. A complete performance schedule is available online.
