Quest Center for Integrative Health – a Portland non-profit health center – is working with the 100th Monkey’s Art Studio beginning tomorrow, November 30th, to create a live art piece in honor of World AIDS Day 2009.

Here are the details from the World AIDS Day Portland Web site:

Participants will be asked to decorate a 3″ x 3″ square in 9 1/2 minutes sharing their experience and hopes for the future of the HIV epidemic. These squares will be incorporated into a background work of art by a professional artist to create a cohesive piece.

Different artistic mediums and supplies will be available for use in creating your work of art during normal business hours.

The piece will be transported to the 100th Monkey’s Art Studio on Thursday, December 3rd for their month long exhibit on HOPE. Community Members are welcome to add additional pieces to the work of art during the art opening, Friday December 4, 2009 from 05:00pm-08:00pm.

For further information on participating, you can contact Shannon Ristau at shannon@quest-center.org, or call 503-238-5203.
