Keepin’ It Real

TRWIt was way back in 1992 when the concept of Reality TV first became real. That was the year The Real World premiered on MTV. If you’ve been living under a rock all these years, the show focused on the lives of a group of strangers who live together in a house for several months as cameras record their interpersonal relationships.

The first installment took place in New York. The 23rd, which begins tonight at 10PM, is set in Washington, DC. Whether the location lives up to its potential for political intrigue is to be seen but the cast of usual goodlooking young’uns is primed to entertain.

One is a pathological liar (Andrew), one (Josh) is too cool for words although he’s a singer and (in the promo photos) looks more like Adam Lambert than Marlon Brando. Ty, it turns out, is adopted. Most interestingly (for my purposes), Mike and Emily are bisexual, or at least have dabbled.
