And the latest reason we love the one and only NPH?

He’s going to smurf in the smurfiest smurf of all smurfs! Er, Neil Patrick Harris has signed on for the big-screen version of the beloved blue creatures’ animated series.

Smurfs: The Movie will be a live-action/CGI-animated hybrid. NPH will take part in the live-action half of the flick — the first of a planned trilogy (!!). E! Online reports that shooting starts next month.

And as we said earlier today, as any celeb worth their salt does these days, the actor Tweeted about it:

“I’ll do my smurfiest to represent well,” Harris said, before responding to a question: “Why? Smurfs are rad.”

We can hear it now… “Tra la la la la la, la la la la la…” Everybody!
