Open up today’s issue of Just Out to find a profile on local trans comic Whitney Streed, and a glimpse at the larger, thriving Portland open mic and comedy scene. This will be a first-Sunday-of-the-month event at Krakow, hosted by Streed at 7 p.m. But this weekendm the hosting duties will be undertaken by queer femme comedian (and Just Out advertising rep) Belinda Carroll, who’s certain to steer the laughs into unknowable directions.
