Billed as the “Premiere School for Professional Actor Training in the Northwest,” and rightly so, the Portland Actors Conservatory will begin holding interviews in Oregon next week for candidacy to its two-year program.
PAC’s Two Year Program is an intense course study, with classes in movement, voice, acting, improvisation, styles, text analysis and more to create a rounded experience for the disciplined theatre student.
“After conducting interviews in Chicago and Boston, I’m looking forward to meeting our local candidates,” said Beth Harper, artistic director, via press release. “This fall marks the completion of our migration to a full-time day program, and with a greater diversity of candidates than ever before, it’s sure to be a singular class.”
The interviews will be held on April 8th and 9th by appointment only at Portland Actors Conservatory headquarters (1436 SW Montgomery St.). Interested candidates may send an email to pacinfo@actorsconservatory.com to schedule an interview.
Additional information:
Representatives from Portland Actors Conservatory conducted interviews earlier this year in Chicago, Ill. through the University/Resident Theatre Association (U/RTA), as well as Boston, Mass. in conjunction with Harper’s participation in the National Association of Schools of Theatre (NAST) Annual Meeting.
Portland Actors Conservatory’s Two Year Program is a fulltime course of study based on 30 hours per week, 32 weeks per year. Our intensive immersion in the study of acting offers Federal Financial Aid packages, an extraordinary student/teacher ratio, and professional performance opportunities in the students’ second year. Graduates work locally and nationally in television, film and theater. Portland Actors Conservatory is a nondegree granting program for students over 18 years old who meet application criteria and want to devote themselves fully to the study of acting.
