As Ellen DeGeneres bows out of American Idol, and Kara DioGuardi gets the boot, the reality show has two open seats for new judges for its 10th season. One of those seats may be filled by Former Fly Girl Jennifer Lopez (yeah, we know she’s done stuff since then, but the Fly Girls were so…fly, and J. Lo is, well, J. Lo), The Advocate reports.
According to People magazine, Lopez’s longtime manager Benny Medina worked out the deal to replace judge Simon Cowell, who is leaving the show to work on a new reality program. Randy Jackson remains, but DeGeneres’ seat is still unfilled.
TMZ speculates the remaining seat may go to Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler. Imagine that, the judges panel on a singing show containing actual singers. Bizarre. Still, we wonder how the show will fair in Cowell’s absence. Does Lopez have enough attitude to fill Cowell’s shoes? Will Tyler take over that role? Who do you think should get that final seat?
