“Are you young, sexually confused, trying to get by?”

Well, I’d say “yes” to maybe one and a half of those items, but maybe you have more in common with a 15-year-old Los Angeles-based stripper named April than I do.

In any event, April is the heroine of the new Jason Freeland film “Garden Party,” which opens in Portland on Friday, July 11 – prior to the opening a special screening is being held Tuesday, July 8, 7 pm at the Northwest Film Center Whitsell Auditorium… and Just Out has oodles of free “admit-two” passes for the screening!

The passes are available (til we run out, folks) right here at the JO HQ: 6234 N Greeley Ave, off of N. Portland Blvd/Rosa Parks Way and Greeley Avenue. We won’t mail them to you. We won’t e-mail them to you. We will gladly hand you a pass (or two) if you come visit us here at our offices.

Tickets are first-come, first-serve, so arriving early to the theatre for the showing is recommended.

Here’s a “Garden Party” synopsis:

Are you young, sexually confused, just trying to get by? Do you sing, dance or possess some other talent? Welcome to the world of GARDEN PARTY. At the center of the story is 15-year-old April (Willa Holland). She is running from one bad situation into another, hoping to find an answer that doesn’t involve taking off her clothes. As April navigates Los Angeles, she falls in with a group of confused kids struggling to chase their dreams. The black widow at the center of this web is a sexy, pot-dealing realtor named Sally St. Clair (Vinessa Shaw). Anyone who gets too close falls victim to her kinky entanglements. For some it goes bad, for other worse, but that’s just a day in the life of the Garden Party.
